Faction Change Bug - Characters Losing MOTHER's Research on Faction Change

If you have started your patch 8.3 MOTHER's Research and have plans to swap factions, you might do well to wait for now. Currently, there is a bug that makes your character lose progression in their MOTHER Research, losing ranks on any trait that has more than one rank, resulting in research trees like the one below.

If you are being affected by this bug, be wary when running Horrific Visions, since your capabilities inside them will be hindered while this bug isn't fixed.
